چکیده
Out for a spin? The vibronic coupling in quantum cellular automata based on the square planar mixed valence molecular cells comprising four paramagnetic centers and two mobile electrons is analyzed. model involves double exchange, Heisenberg-Dirac-Van Vleck exchange of with breathing local modes. latter interaction shown to amplify polarization working cell by driver cell. This leads revision conditions switching between different spin-states, as well significant change shape cell-cell response function.

Molecular Implementations of Quantum-dot Cellular Automata: the Vibronic Problem in Mixed-valence Tetra-ruthenium Species
Here we report the evaluation of the electronic and vibronic levels of mixedvalence tetra-ruthenium (2Ru(II)+2Ru(III)) systems assembled as two coupled Creutz-Taube complexes for which possible molecular implementations of quantumdot cellular automata was proposed. In this view the main theoretical issue is related to the vibronic localization of the two holes whose positions are able encode in...
متن کاملMolecular Quantum Dot Cellular Automata: Localization and Cell-cell Response in Tetrameric Mixed-valence Units
Our interest in this article is prompted by the vibronic problem of charge polarized states in the four-dot molecular quantum cellular automata (mQCA), a paradigm for nanoelectronics, in which binary information is encoded in charge configuration of the mQCA cell. The polarization of the cell is evaluated and we show how the partial delocalization caused by the joint action of the vibronic coup...

The preparation of 7-Fc(+) -8-Fc-7,8-nido-[C2 B9 H10 ](-) (Fc(+) FcC2 B9 (-) ) demonstrates the successful incorporation of a carborane cage as an internal counteranion bridging between ferrocene and ferrocenium units. This neutral mixed-valence Fe(II) /Fe(III) complex overcomes the proximal electronic bias imposed by external counterions, a practical limitation in the use of molecular switches...
متن کاملSelf-doping of molecular quantum-dot cellular automata: mixed valence zwitterions.
Molecular quantum-dot cellular automata (QCA) is a promising paradigm for realizing molecular electronics. In molecular QCA, binary information is encoded in the distribution of intramolecular charge, and Coulomb interactions between neighboring molecules combine to create long-range correlations in charge distribution that can be exploited for signal transfer and computation. Appropriate mixed...

The di-mixed-valence complex [{(eta(5)-C5H5)Fe(eta(5)-C5H4)}4(eta(4)-C4)Co(eta(5)-C5H5)]2+, 1(2+), has been evaluated as a molecular four-dot cell for the quantum cellular automata paradigm for electronic devices. The cations 1(1+) and 1(2+) are prepared in good yield by selective chemical oxidation of 1(0) and are isolated as pure crystalline materials. The solid-state structures of 1(0) and 1...
